Find the
overlap.
Different jobs, different hours. hang:out lines up everyone's shifts, classes and 9-to-5s — so you can finally find the night you're all free.
Friend by friend — or save your regular crew as a group, up to 32 people.
Three taps from “when are you free?” to a plan
Add your schedule
Connect a calendar, or punch in your shifts by hand. hang:out turns it into simple free / busy — no calendar required.
See everyone's free time
Your friends' weeks line up in one grid — the people you pick, or a group you've saved. The moment a day is open for everyone, it lights up.
Make the plan
Tap the overlap to turn it into a hang. Everyone RSVPs in a tap — no more group-chat ping-pong.
One look tells you the night you're all free
hang:out speaks one visual language everywhere. Busy recedes. Free is open space. A match glows. No legends to learn, no colors to decode — just glance and go.
Punch in your shifts in seconds
Rotating roster, split shifts, overnight weeks — type them straight in. hang:out is built for the jobs that don't fit a 9-to-5 calendar.
- Day, evening, night and on-call blocks
- Repeat a pattern across every week
- Off-days become free time automatically
Or connect the calendar you already use
Link Samsung, Google or Outlook and your free / busy stays current on its own. We only ever read whether you're busy — never what you're doing.
- Samsung, Google & Outlook supported
- Re-reads your calendar each time you open the app
- Disconnect in one tap, any time
Turn an overlap into an actual hang
Tap an open day and the plan is half-written — the free window is already there. Pick a time of day, add a title or place if you like, and send it to whoever's free.
- Pick a time — morning, afternoon, evening or all day
- Add a title and place — both optional
- Everyone who's free is pre-invited; add anyone else in a tap
- Or scope it to a saved group — the whole crew is invited in one go
Everyone answers in a tap — and you watch it live
Friends reply right inside hang:out, and the guest list updates the moment someone responds — no chasing, no “did everyone see this?”. When it comes together it's confirmed; if it fizzles, hang:out points you at the next open night.
- Going, maybe or can't — one tap each
- The attendee list updates live as replies land
- Confirmed when it comes together — or the next overlap if it doesn't
Save your crew. Skip the setup.
Make a group for the people you actually hang with — your close five, your band, your shift crew. Up to 32 people (you + 31 friends). Everyone in it sees the group's free time and gets pulled into a plan in a tap.
- Name it once — your regular crew is one tap away, every week
- Up to 32 people (you + 31 friends)
- Adding is instant — they're already your friends, so there's nothing to accept
- Groups sit alongside one-on-one — sharing with a single friend works exactly as before
The group's radar
Open the group and see how many of you are free each day this week — and the window that works for the most people.
Everyone's week
One grid, everyone in it, free or busy only. No event names, no places, no notes — exactly like one-on-one.
Plans for the whole crew
Turn an open day into a group plan and the whole group is invited at once. Going, maybe or can't — one tap each, updating live.
Like a group chat, everyone in a hang:out group is already friends with each other — so no one ever sees a stranger's week. You can only add someone who's already your friend and already friends with everyone in the group.
Group or one-on-one, the rule never changes: friends see free or busy, never what you're doing.
Small touches, all pulling one way
Only when it's worth it
hang:out pings you when the whole circle is free at once — and stays quiet the rest of the time.
Free counts for every day
Each day shows how many friends are free, so the nights that actually work jump out.
The right time, everywhere
Free windows show in each person's own timezone — no mental maths across shifts and cities.
Made for shift work
Rotating rosters, nights and on-call blocks — set the rhythm your job actually runs on.
Private by consent
You only appear to friends who've accepted. Connections always go both ways.
Honest about quiet weeks
No overlap this week? hang:out says so and points you to the next one — never a fake slot.
Friends see free or busy. Never what you're doing.
hang:out shares the one bit that matters for making plans — and nothing else. Event names, places and details never leave your phone. Contacts are matched on-device and never uploaded.
Group or one-on-one, the rule never changes: friends see free or busy, never what you're doing. A group is only people who are already friends with each other, so it adds nothing new to what anyone can see.
Read the full privacy policyAnswered before you had to ask
Can my friends see my calendar events?
No. Friends only ever see free or busy. Your events are reduced to plain time ranges on your own device — names, notes and details never leave your phone.
Can I make groups, or is it one friend at a time?
Both. Add friends one-on-one, or save a group of up to 32 people (you + 31) and coordinate the whole crew at once.
Who can see my schedule in a group?
Only that group's members — who are all already your friends — and they still see only free/busy, never event details.
Do I have to be friends with everyone in a group?
Yes. Like a group chat, everyone in a hang:out group is friends with each other — you can only add someone already friends with everyone in the group.
What does hang:out cost?
Nothing. hang:out is free.
Where is hang:out available?
On Android — it's in a closed test right now, with a Google Play launch next. Leave your email in the form below and we'll tell you the moment you can get in.
Is there an iPhone version?
Planned — after Android. We'd rather ship one platform well than two badly.
What happens when I delete my account?
Everything is removed server-side, immediately: your profile, your availability, your plans — every trace. How deletion works →
Do you sell my data?
No. There's nothing to sell — we don't have your events, only free/busy ranges you chose to share with friends. Read the privacy policy →
